The Woodlands Crust Pizza. With three locations(Alden Bridge, Creekside, Panther Creek) in The Woodlands, Crust pizza Co is my go to place for family friendly Italian food. The menu has several pasta dishes, some excellent salads, pizzas, and hot sub sandwiches. My favorite thing on the menu is their $10 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon ($3.50 per glass) along with their crisp on the outside, pillowy on the inside garlic knots. This is the perfect way to start a meal. Pizzas are their main attraction and can be made with whole wheat crust or gluten free. Their best sellers include the Carl’s King and Big Don’s meat and cheese. The King has pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, fresh mushrooms, black olives, red onions, mixed bell peppers and mozzarella. The Big Don’s meat and cheese has pepperoni, sausage, beef, bacon, Canadian bacon, cheddar and mozzarella. My personal favorite is the Tuscany on whole wheat crust — baby spinach, roma tomatoes, red onions, black and green olives, artichoke hearts, feta, and mozzarella. The salads are fresh, and there are some interesting options not found other places (how about a muffaletta salad or a Hawaiian salad?)
There are all the usual pastas, and the chicken alfredo with some added red pepper flakes is divine. The hot subs round out the menu with some usual Italian favorites and are served with chips. If you have room, their cannoli is always fresh and filled only when you order it so the shell is crunchy when you bite in.
I like that they pay attention to some little things. They offer regular iced tea and an amazing strawberry green iced tea. They have a selection of imported or domestic beer. It makes me happy that they have a bucket of Andes mints as you walk out the door.
This is an ‘order at the counter and they bring you your food’ type of place and there are always staff wandering around if you need anything, including a to go box!
