The Woodlands Bob’s Steak and Chop House

I really like the steaks at Bobs Steak and Chop House. There is something nostalgic about Bobs, conjuring up old school steakhouses of the 1970’s.

Bobs-Steak-and-Chop-House

The Woodlands has a plethora of good high-end steak houses. They are each excellent and have their strengths and weaknesses. I’m very fussy about my steak and I actually think several of the best ones excel more at superb seafood than steaks. I really like the steaks at Bobs Steak and Chop House. There is something nostalgic about Bobs, conjuring up old school steakhouses of the 1970’s. It has a dark and manly vibe to me, and on week-nights it has its share of business men and women dining on the company credit card. You can actually order a cigar after dinner if the gentlemen’s club decor doesn’t elevate your testosterone enough. Not only do I love their steaks, but their bread is fantastic. I could make a meal out of it. Bobs has a traditional steakhouse menu featuring prime cuts of beef and does an excellent classic gin martini. I believe every steak dinner should start with a gin martini. They advertise that their steaks are prime and their drinks are stiff. Their steaks come with a baked potato, another nostalgic nod to years gone by. You can substitute for other potatoes but I like the simplicity of the baked potato, dressed tableside for you. The steaks and potato are also served with a single large cooked carrot, much photographed in social media. They have many special wine dinners throughout the year and are a great choice for a special occasion. They also serve seafood and some excellent salads and side dishes. Overall, we are lucky to have this chain in The Woodlands.
