Hubbell and Hudson Bistro is my all time favorite restaurant in The Woodlands or even the greater Houston area. How lucky are we to have it in our back yard. I’ve eaten there many times and have never had a bad experience. The food, the service, and the ambiance together create a perfect dining experience. The ambience is perfect. In the bistro example in Europe, it is casual but elegantly comfortable. Never stuffy, you can dress up or dress down and always feel comfortable. The space is beautifully decorated and warmly welcomes. The service is always perfect. The well trained wait staff is very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and while they are attentive, they never hover. The food is the star here. The menu changes seasonally and is well rounded. Chef Austin Simmons and his staff source the best ingredients locally and from all over the world. They do a beautiful job with fish. So often I find restaurants overcook fish; never here at the Bistro. Fish dishes are cooked perfectly so they are flavorful and moist. The monk-fish and the Patagonian Tooth-fish are my favorites. Beef is exceptional here and includes Texas wagyu beef. Vegetarian options are unique and amazing. The crispy brussels sprout are a star among the veggies. I stick to chocolate when it comes to dessert and the chocolate croquettes are my all time favorite. i always explain to anyone dining with me that even though it looks like it is shareable, with me it is NOT. I savor every bite!

H&H Bistro is open for lunch and also has a great Happy Hour.

if you want a really special amazing meal, there is a restaurant within a restaurant at H&H Bistro. Cureeight will be the subject of a future review. I’ve only been there once and it was historic.
