    Post Category: Community,Town Center,Waterway Square — Michele Flory @ 8:13 am

    The-Woodlands-Waterway-Cruisers

The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau has welcomed home two completely renovated and newly named Waterway Cruisers for public transportation and private catering charter.

The two Waterway Cruisers were christened under their new names, The Puffy (the loveable mascot of The Woodlands) and The Dreamer (one of the more prominent art sculptures in The Woodlands), at an unveiling event hosted by Landry’s Restaurants, Inc. and produced by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Waterway Cruisers are one of The Woodlands’ most distinguishing amenities, said Nelda Blair, Chairman of The Woodlands CVB. The cruisers have been redesigned and refreshed to enhance the experience for the thousands of passengers who ride them each year.

The Waterway Cruiser’s interiors and exteriors have been completely refurbished. On board The Dreamer groups can experience a seated dinner for up to 20 passengers or appetizers and cocktails for up to 35 as they float along The Waterway’s 1.4-mile long corridor.

Landry’s Restaurants, Inc. coordinates all event logistics, including a custom catering menu including fresh seafood, tender steaks as well as authentic Mexican and Italian cuisine. Catered events include company retreats, birthday parties, prom dinners, baby showers, family gatherings, and other special occasions.

    The Waterway Cruisers operate on The Woodlands Waterway Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

A general public day pass with unlimited rides on the Waterway Cruisers is $5. Youth, seniors and the disabled are $2.50. Tickets can be purchased on board each Waterway Cruiser.
