    Novi Home Builders Now Developing in The Woodlands East Shore

    Novi Home Builders Corp. has begun a homebuilding program in East Shore, the “Garden District” of The Woodlands Town Center, according to Buck Driggers, Vice President of Residential Sales and Development for The Woodlands Development Company.

    East Shore borders the eastern edge of 200-acre Lake Woodlands (pictured) and is within walking distance of the shopping, dining and entertainment venues along The Woodlands Waterway®, a 1.4 mile transportation thoroughfare, linear park and water amenity, situated in the heart of The Woodlands Town Center.

    Novi Home Builders Corp., a custom home builder that has been building in The Woodlands’ gated community of Carlton Woods since 2004, is offering four homesites in the enclave of Mid-Lake in East Shore. Priced from the low $800’s, these two-story New Orleans style homes will feature brick and HardiPlank exteriors, approximately 4,000 square feet of living space, formal dining room, living room with an optional library, optional elevator, three bedrooms upstairs with an optional exercise room/4th bedroom, upstairs guest room, second floor covered balcony, side covered veranda, rear covered porch, three-and-a-half baths and a two-car, alley-served garage.

    Novi currently has one custom home under development in East Shore.

    The Woodlands Creekside Village New Residents

    The Woodlands Creekside Park Village

    Creekside Park is the new village in The Woodlands. Located south of Spring Creek between Kuykendahl and Gosling Road, Creekside is the only village in Harris county.

    First-time visitors to our community almost always begin their tour of the community by visiting The Woodlands Development Corporation Homefinder Center. The local Realtors utilize the Homefind Center and the knowledgeable staff to provide potential home-buyers an overview of the community and the many many lifestyle amenities. Part of the introduction process includes a visitor registration. Based on this information, the above chart is created.

    The Out of Area section of the pie is composed of new residents coming from outside the Houston SMA, outside Texas, outside the United State. This percentage(46%) will begin to increase with the pending announcement by Exxon-Mobil to move 10 - 15,000 employees into the area. If the rumor-mill is correct, completion of a segment of the Grand Parkway will dramatically improve the proximity of Creekside Park Village to the already under-construction Exxon-Mobil campus.

    The Houston segment represents 32% of new residents. Many in this category were former residents of Spring seeking the amenities of a master-planned community and convenience of the major shopping and entertainment complex of Town Center.

    Current residents of The Woodlands represent the final segment(22%). Reasons for moving within The Woodlands include buying a new or larger home.
