Waterway Square Offers Holiday Sights & Sounds in The Woodlands

Post Category: Community,Town Center — Michele Flory @ 10:09 am

    The Woodlands Waterway Fountains

Take a moment this holiday season and relax in front of the 30 –foot lighted tree at The Fountains at Waterway Square, a one acre-plaza located along Waterway Avenue in The Woodlands complete with choreographed lights and water show.

In keeping with the holiday spirit, the fountain’s cascading water displays will be programmed to dance to your favorite holiday songs, including “Frosty the Snowman” by Gene Autry, “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano, “Winter Wonderland” by Tony Bennett, and “Jingle Bells” by Canadian Brass.

Families will find their festive tunes playing every fifteen minutes from noon to 2 pm and 6 pm – 11pm on the weekdays. The fountain’s weekend schedule will begin playing its first song at noon and will continue to play every fifteen minutes until 11 pm.

“With its unique water features and relaxing green spaces, it’s easy to see why our residents and visitors continue to enjoy gathering at The Fountains at Waterway Square throughout the year,” says Nick Wolda, President of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The fountain’s holiday song list will run from now through January 4, 2011.
Free parking is available at the Waterway Square Parking Garage located between Fountain Plaza and Woodloch Court. Picnics, chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome.

Located along Waterway Avenue, Waterway Square is a one-acre public plaza with unique water features and green spaces that serve as the “centerpiece” of The Woodlands Town Center. Picnics, chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome.

While you are in The Woodlands, hop on over to Town Green Park, located at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive to view some of the best lighted holiday displays now through Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Visitors can meander along rows of brightly lit trees, doves, snowflakes and other illuminated holiday scenes from 5:30 pm – 2:00 am.

Located next to The Woodlands Ice Rink along the northeast corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines Drive, Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderland offers visitors of all ages an impressive fantasyland of magical, lighted toy soldiers, elves, doves, musical angels and snowmen from dusk until 11 pm. Admission to Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderland is free and will remain open to the public through Monday, January 3, 2011.
