Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors Prepares for Craig Biggio Sunshine Kids Gala & Golf Classic

Post Category: Community — Michele Flory @ 6:36 am

Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors is busy preparing for the 18th Annual Craig Biggio Sunshine Kids Celebrity Gala and Golf Classic. The greatly anticipated event benefits the Sunshine Kids Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed in 1982 to provide young cancer patients with opportunities to participate in positive group activities that promote self-esteem, personal accomplishment and just plain old-fashioned fun. Funded by personal contributions, corporations and foundations, the Sunshine Kids continues to provide all of its activities completely free of charge to the children’s families and hospitals.

The Craig Biggio Sunshine Kids Celebrity Gala will kick things off at Union Station at Minute Maid Park, Saturday, October 16 at 6:30 pm. The Golf Classic swings in on Monday, October 18 at Sweetwater Country Club, with registration at 8 am. Highlights of the gala include a drawing for a 2010 Audi A5 sponsored by Houston Area Audi Dealers. Each ticket costs $100, and only 3,060 will be sold, the number of career hits by Biggio. To purchase tickets, visit www.garygreenesunshine.com.

Longtime Houston sportscaster Bob Allen will be honored for his years of service to the Sunshine Kids Foundation, and attendees will meet actor and Executive Director of the Sunshine Kids Foundation G.W. Bailey, who plays Lieutenant Provenza on TNT’s The Closer.

Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors has been a major supporter of the Sunshine Kids since 1992, and is the founding sponsor of this event. Organizations and individuals interested in sponsorships and supporting this cause may e-mail awoodroof@garygreene.com. For more information about the event, visit www.garygreenesunshine.com.
