    Live At Five Concert Series At Waterway Square In The Woodlands

    Join The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau for "Live at Night," a spin off from the previous Live at Five concert series from 2009. Come enjoy live music and the amazing fountain every Wednesday at Waterway Square from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a date, co-workers, friends, family, or the kids! Picnics, chairs, blankets and coolers welcomed. Spring series dates: every Wednesday, March 24 – April 28, 2010. Band line up to come, for more information please visit TheWoodlandsCVB.com.

    MAJOR EMPLOYERS IN SOUTH MONTGOMERY COUNTY REPORT JOBS INCREASE

    The South Montgomery County #Woodlands Economic Development Partnership (EDP) recently concluded its annual employee count survey of local non-retail employers. Companies with 100 or more employees are surveyed each year to determine job growth trends in the area.

    The 2010 job count revealed encouraging news for The Woodlands and South Montgomery County. Employee numbers at the larger companies in January of 2010 are up by 230 jobs from 2009. This year’s tally shows that close to 23,000 people are employed by major, non-retail companies. According to DemographicsNow®, there are 75,020 people employed in our area, making South Montgomery County a significant employment destination. (more...)
