    The Woodlands Resort Named Outstanding Golf Property For 9th Consecutive Year

    The meetings industry’s well-regarded critics, the readers of Meetings & Conventions magazine, have selected The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center among 74 domestic and 10 international properties as outstanding golf resorts for 2008.

    THE WOODLANDS WINE & FOOD WEEK STARTS MONDAY

    The Woodlands Wine & Food Week is scheduled from Monday through Sunday, June 2-8, 2008
    throughout The Woodlands.

    Wine & Food Week will feature 50 events including the H-E-B Wine Walk at Market Street; Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & South American Chef Showcase at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center; Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse Wine Dinner; free children’s cooking classes with any recyclable item; and more.

    Tomball High School Ranks Among Top In Nation

    Tomball High School ranked as one of the top public high schools in the nation for 2008, according
    to Newsweek magazine. Tomball High School ranked as number 1,167 out of the top 1,300 high schools.

    Researchers divided the total number of students taking college-level exams (i.e. Cambridge, International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement) by the number of graduating seniors to determine campus placement on the list.

    Children whose families reside in The Woodlands’ newest Village of Creekside Park attend Tomball ISD schools. A new Tomball ISD K-6 school is underway with an opening planned for the 2009-2010 school year. The Tomball ISD has also purchased sites for two more flex schools in the new village. New homes are offered in Creekside Park from the $190’s to more than $3 million.

    Cunae International School-Creekwood Cottage PreSchool

    Cunae International School is a small, boutique private school set within 6 picturesque acres on the edge of The Woodlands. In a welcoming and intimate atmosphere that is both supportive and encouraging, Cunae offers an internationally recognised academic programme to students’ ages Pre-K through 10th grade, with planned expansion to 12th grade.

    In August 2008 after much anticipation, Creekwood Cottage Preschool, the early learning years of Cunae International School, will open its doors to approximately 20 preschool aged children, with planned expansion to accommodate 50 children in the future.
