Post Category: Community — Greg Flory @ 8:34 pm

    Dana Farber Marathon Challenge Team
Rob Johnson of The Woodlands is working toward completing the 2008 Boston Marathon as a member of the Dana Farber Marathon Challenge Team. Rob ran with the team in the 2006 Marathon. The generosity of those who sponsored him that year inspired Rob to do it one more time in an effor to help Dana Farber beat cancer; he needs your your support. This year, Rob has set an ambitious goal to raise $10,000, and needs all the help he can get (in more ways than one) to get to the finish line!

Rob's run will support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's goal to find better therapies and, ultimately, cures for cancer. The DFMC team raises funds for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This program fosters scientific breakthroughs by advancing the work of gifted researchers in a variety of basic research disciplines.

The DFMC directs 100% of funds raised to the Barr Program, which enables gifted young scientists at the leading edge of discovery to achieve better cure rates and to enhance patients' quality of life.

To support Rob's challenge and bring an end to the misery of cancer, visit the Dana Farber Marathon Challenge Team web site.
