Plans for the new 3,492-acre village include vast areas of parklands, totaling 1,850 acres. The village is planned to be home to 7,100 new families, with new homebuilding scheduled to be underway in early 2007. A mix of home styles, price ranges and homebuilders is planned for the Village of Creekside Park, similar to the other villages in The Woodlands.
A Grand Opening of the new village is planned for fall of 2007, when a Showcase of Homes event will take place in Carlton Woods Creekside and the first production home neighborhood in the village, called Kayak Ridge. At that time, the new 20,000-square-foot clubhouse will be open on the Tom Fazio Championship golf course in Carlton Woods Creekside. The Second Annual Taste of the Village is scheduled for Saturday, October 14 from 12 noon until 4 pm at the Indian Springs Village Center. The center is located at the southwest corner of Kuykendahl Road and Woodlands Parkway.
