Carlton Woods Available Lots in The Woodlands

    Post Category: Neighborhoods,New Neighborhood Updates,Real Estate — Michele Flory @ 11:29 am

Some of the final homesites in the gated community of Carlton Woods, surrounding the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, are available now. Homesites are approximately ½ acre and are priced from the $290's. There was pent up demand for half-acre homesites near the $300,000 range. On the first day of the lot release, Carlton Woods signed contracts for over half of the available properties. There are only a few remaining homesites available, and these represent some of the last opportunities to purchase property around the Nicklaus course.

There is a varied selection of homesites currently available in the gated community of Carlton Woods Creekside surrounding the new Tom Fazio Championship golf course. Homesites are priced from the $190's to over $1 million, ranging in size from ¼ acre to over two acres. Over 115 homesites have sold in Carlton Woods Creekside since it first launched. Plans are underway for The Woodlands Showcase of Homes to be set in Carlton Woods Creekside in October, 2007.

Town Green Park in The Woodlands

Post Category: Community — Greg Flory @ 3:43 pm

Town Green Park is the 100th park created in The Woodlands. The park is located along The Woodlands Waterway between The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and The South Montgomery County Library.

Town Green Park has an impressive entrance; two impressive, 18.5-foot columns, each topped with a five-foot, stylized pinecone, welcoming guests to the park. Decorative brick columns form a border on each side of these grand columns.

Visitors walking through this impressive entrance to will have a clear view of the park’s central gathering spot, The Great Lawn, which extends all the way down to The Woodlands Waterway.

Almost two football fields long and covered with lush Bermuda grass, the “free-play” space of The Great Lawn is a community gathering spot to toss a Frisbee, fly a kite, enjoy a picnic or just lay in the sun.

The Children’s Garden at Town Green Park incorporates landscape design elements with fun literary experiences to complement the neighboring South Montgomery County Library.

The east border of the park features a walkway with several comfortable nooks with circular bench seating.

Town Green Park provides a destination for Town Center visitors, as well as a venue for special events taking place in Town Center such as the Lighting of the Doves and Red, Hot and Blue Festivals. It has also become the newest spot for the water taxis that navigate The Woodlands Waterway.
